What is the Format option in Excel?
Format function in excel is a very useful option from which you
can change the row height or column width, hide or unhide cell, organize the sheet,
protect or lock sheet.

Click on format and here you can see several options and choose according to your work requirements such as if you want to increase or decrease row or column height/width set a number how much you have to require. Select row or column if you want to hide and go in Format and hide or unhide.
Another way to hide and unhide or set height or width, select row or column and right click on the mouse a window display here you can see hide and unhide option or set row height or column width.

A very useful option in Format function is we can protect our worksheet with a password so that nobody changes specific data typed in a sheet. Here we can see options and allows other users what they can change & what they don't have rights to change in our given excel sheet.
